报告人简介：Lorenzo Fortunato 教授2000年获都灵大学物理学学士学位，2003年获帕多瓦大学博士学位，2004-2005年曾获弗拉芒研究基金会（FWO）资助在比利时根特大学从事博士后研究，回国后先后任职于帕多瓦大学、意大利国家核物理研究所（INFN）。他深耕理论低能核物理，聚焦核结构与核反应研究，深耕集体模型等方向，2000-2020年间与合作者发表50余篇原创科研论文于领域顶级期刊，应邀在50余次会议汇报成果，同时承担多门物理相关课程教学，参与组织多项学术会议并出版教材、撰写科普文章。
报告摘要：This talk will introduce the university of Padua (Padova in It.), one of the oldest in the world. Its more than 800 years of history will be briefly reviewed, highlighting the contributions of important scientists in the fields of Physics and Medicine, like Galileo Galilei, van Wesel, William Harvey, Levi-Civita and others. Then I will briefly discuss the university as it is structured today, its structure, figures and most important characteristics.Finally, I will introduce the research at the Physics Department and talk a little about two or three themes in theoretical nuclear physics on which I have worked in the past 25 years.
